Sony are still drop feeding infos about the PSP Go day by day. They are still to answer the issue of UMD games and transferability from the PSP but at least they let us know when and how much it will hit the streets.
Sony Computer Entertainment America’s head of marketing Peter Dille, has confirmed it in a Kotaku interview that the PSP Go will retail at about $249 a piece. This is a tad heavy considering the fact the Nintendo Wii retails at about the same price and is far more expensive than the DS, the current PSP and even the PS2.
When asked about their pricing strategy Sony spokesman continued : “It’s targeting an early adopter, a tech enthusiast. We’re hearing great things about the product. People are really excited about it. There’s not much more to say “. So I guess we gonna have to bite the bullet and wait for it to another 3 months to drop down in price…booo SONY!!
One thing interesting however, It seems the PSP Go will have downloadable content and game releases similar to Patapon 2 release on the PSP. Enthusiastic gamers will be able to download the games before it hit the stores while store managers will be able to sell download coupons for those who wish so.
Yet much is still untold about the game releases, the what, when and how awesome? will just keep waiting and see .
